More Management Confidence
Management Development for aspiring, new or unsure line managers
Introducing: The Grounded Manager Programme
A seven month management development programme that will show you how to:Â
- redefine your views, opinions and beliefs about yourself and your role as a manager
- hone foundational and fundamental management skills such as delegation, decision making, accountability and feedback
- develop your own personal management style in a way that feels right for you and supportive to your team
- find that place inside yourself that is grounded, calm and courageous so that you can manage from there
This programme is fundamentally about management but it can also be the first step in developing your leadership because the two go hand in hand.
This is personal AND professional development.
It includes more teaching than your average coaching programme AND more coaching than your average training programme.
It's not just another generic management development programme. It's trauma-informed, person-centred and HERA informed to make it sector specific for Higher Education.Â
I'm in, take me to the booking sectionThis programme is for you if...Â
- Youâve recently become a line manager for the first time, if youâre returning to line management after a long gap or if youâre a more established line manager who is feeling unsure about some of the tricker parts of your role.
- Perhaps youâve attended some leadership development training such as Aurora but youâre looking for something which is much more focused on line management skills.
- You want to know the practical and tangible steps you can take to be a better manager.
- Youâre also ready to do the deeper work of looking at your protective beliefs and conditioning that are keeping you feeling scared and unsure. You know that it is necessary so that you can make space for more powerful beliefs about yourself, find your unique style and step into a more confident identity as a manager.
This programme is not for you if...
Â
- Youâre not prepared to do things that feel uncomfortable in order to move towards that new version of you who feels competent and confident.
- You think that feelings and emotions are for losers.
- You want someone to do it for you.
- Youâre not willing to put in the work/time required to make change.
The details
The programme will unfold over seven months with weekly calls where we'll introduce the theme and talk about how you can integrate it into your management practice.
The programme begins with the Opening Circle on Friday 7 June 2024.
The reason it's over seven months rather than six is that there will be no live calls during the month of August.
You will have access to replays of all calls including captions via an online portal.
Each module will have accompanying lessons on the online course portal including short videos summarising the main concepts and worksheets with supporting resources such as checklists, preparation guides and conversation scripts to support you in putting all of the theory into practice.
Youâll have access to the course content, resources and call replays for the lifetime of the programme so you can go through everything at your own pace and come back to it again and again.
This is about supporting you to develop the skill, strategy and most importantly, the beliefs that will support you at every stage of your management career.
If you want a bit of one-to-one support there is also an option to add in three dedicated coaching sessions with me. This option costs an extra ÂŁ600 and you can add it at the Check-out or Purchase Order stage below. Then you can book the calls at any point during or after the programme.
